Ok, I'm not pretending that when I had an office job that I couldn't drop everything and watch a helicopter land... but here I did it without shaving, combing my hair, and I got to stay as long as I liked! This morning, Veterans Day 2009, an apache helicopter buzzed right over my garage on its way to a visit to Creek View Elementary in College Station, Texas. What a treat for the kids (and several of us adults at home at the time, too!).
