Back when I used to work support as a student worker, I enjoyed the clients who took the time to show appreciation for my help and time; I also understood those that were always in a grumpy mood or were too haughty to consider me more than "computer guy." As a client, I always take the time to put out an extra "thanks," because I can appreciate what support goes through. Recently, my silliness got the better of me on a support thread, but FreshBooks support bested me!
To make a long story short, my family and I were showered with gifts for being (almost) 100,000th Support Ticket, just for fun!
Now, I'm not writing this to thumb my nose at everyone who did not receive such love-- I am writing to give FreshBooks more deserved kudos and to point out to anyone running a business that this is how support is done right! I my Drupal web consultancy, I don't know that I will ever grow large enough to be able to pay air postage for frivolous toys and swag or gift baskets for my clients, but I hope to keep this model in mind that the little things really matter. FreshBooks makes great software that is fun and simple to use, and their support is very quick to respond with solutions that are not immediately apparent through their interface.

I could not agree more that showing appreciation where it is due is very important. That is why I want to take a minute to show my appreciation for all of you, such as yourself, that have worked so hard to develop Drupal into what it is today. Drupal may not be well known to the general public, but they use portions the software far more often than they would expect. Many online applications and services would not exist if not for the programmers and developers behind Drupal. Online services from all over the country use Drupal, such as the cloud servers in San Francisco, data security centers in Phoenix, and Indianapolis online payroll centers. I want to extend my gratitude to all those people that make Drupal because Drupal makes things possible.
